Walnut Creek, CA - 6/12/09

awesome show! we played this rad venue called the Red House. they’re like a music school, with a bunch of rehearsal rooms and this crazy live room (where we played). show was sold out, and it was really nice to meet a bunch of californian dino fans.

as for the other bands, us vs. london is a great young screamo/indie band from the area. they sounded like a mix of the blood brothers and showbread. dual vocalists, a sick guitarist, and a tight rhythm section. lots of fun and great for such a new band (only their 3rd show and 2nd month as a band!). turnstyles played their first show, and they were a great young band with a classic rock /indie vibe to them.

then we played, my in ears kept falling out so I played a lot of the set 1 armed, but still we played a pretty solid, fun set. there was alot of singing and clapping along, which was very much appreciated.

after us were our main homeys Big Monsters. they are a ridiculously talented indie/pop band. they sound like phoenix combined with vampire weekend, without any of the pretension. such a fun show, and great guys. they put us up in a bed and breakfast for the night.

everyone was so nice! we’ll post some pictures and videos soon. thanks to everyone who came out and hung out!
